Materials May Vary
We reserve the right to improve upon any of our designs or finishes without prior notice. Dimensions/design may vary slightly from those specified or seen in showrooms or on tear sheets, since all items are handmade and hand assembled. All of our finishes are applied by hand and may not match finish samples exactly. Gems, geodes and stone will vary in color, size, shape, and texture. Fissures and exposed crystals in geodes and stone are to be expected. By the nature of the material, mica will experience occasional flaking.

Warranty
Phillip Nimmo warrants all products against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from ship date. This warranty does not apply to breakage resulting from misuse, accidents, abuse, neglect, mishandling or wear resulting from normal use. Philip Nimmo does not warrant finishes against fading and oxidizing, as metal and other finishes can change over time. Warranty is voided if anyone other than Philip Nimmo works on or repairs pieces.
Furniture Care
Take care not to place your furniture in close proximity to any source of heat. We recommend at least two feet of distance between your furniture and any heat source to prevent excessive drying. In general, fluctuations in temperature and moisture may result in movement of natural materials used. Proper care and maintenance will prolong the life of your finish.
OUTDOOR IRON FINISHES
Weathering conditions such as sun, rain, wind, pollution, freezing cold, salt water and a host of other conditions will degrade the finish over time. These elements of nature combined with other factors such as abrasion may cause wear, damage or corrosion of the top coating and underlying primer. This will shorten the aesthetic and protective value of the finish.
TEAK
In the absence of regular maintenance, the high quality of our teak turns to a lustrous silvery-gray patina when left in its natural state, which is often preferable. To promote the weathering process, wash the teak regularly, especially during its first few months outside. Do so on a sunny day if possible, and use a mild
liquid detergent mixed with a teaspoon of bleach in a gallon of water. The bleach will accelerate the weathering effect of the sun. After the soap/bleach wash, rinse the furniture thoroughly with clean water and let it dry. As the teak begins to weather, the grain begins to lift. You may want to lightly sand the fine “hairs” which rise when the teak begins to weather. The silvery-gray patina will evolve at a different pace depending on its environment. Wind, salt, spray and sun will always weather teak more quickly.
Cleaning Instructions
Metal
The finish is to be dusted with a soft, untreated dusting cloth. For stubborn soil, wipe with a damp cloth, then wipe immediately with a dry cloth to remove any remaining moisture.
Mirror
The best method for cleaning a mirror is to use warm water and a soft cloth. Take care not to wet the frame or edges of the mirror. If this occurs, wipe up excess moisture immediately with a dry cloth. Should you opt to use a glass cleaner, never spray directly onto the mirror surface. Always apply the cleaner to a soft cloth. It is important to choose a cleaner that does not contain any ammonia or vinegar.
Lacquer
Lacquer wood finish needs only to be wiped with a soft, untreated dusting cloth.
Waxing instructions
If waxing of wood is desired, use a clear, natural wax. Apply an extremely light coat of wax with a soft cotton cloth (or place a piece of wax inside a few layers of folded cheesecloth, thus preventing any heavy smearing). Then, buff at once with a soft cloth, turning often, until wax coating is hard. Be sure all wax is completely buffed until hard, in order to avoid smearing and streaking.
